With the multi-faceted Christian songwriters coaching and resource company well into its fifth year of serving the global songwriting community, Nashville Christian Songwriters is gearing up for its ninth onsite weekend event called the Song Revolution Workshop.
“There’s nothing like this weekend for worship songwriters,” says NCS Vice-president Robert Till. “We keep it small to bring a highly personalized experience to each songwriter,” Till continues, “so that they walk away with more insights, key industry relationships, and actionable resources in three days than they’ve ever encountered anywhere else.”
Beginning at noon Thursday with registration and warm welcomes at the event’s location at Showcase in Franklin, Tennessee, just south of Nashville, the attendees are gathered into a worshipful and Christ-centered atmosphere from the start. Worship and worship songwriting are front and center and NCS is happy to announce the return of Lifeway Worship Director, Mike Harland.
Thursday afternoon is filled with inspirational teaching from NCS President John Chisum, Robert Till, and others, followed by a catered dinner at Centricity Music, home of premiere artists Lauren Daigle, Jason Gray, Andrew Peterson, Carollton, Johnny Diaz, and more. Past speakers at the dinner have included Centricity founder and A&R Director, John Mays, CCM Artist Jason Gray, producer/songwriter Steve Fee (Fee), and Centricity songwriter Ross King.
Friday’s lineup includes multi-award winning BMI Songwriter of the Year and Curb/Word songwriter Kenna Turner West, a powerhouse speaker and clinician on tap with multiple NCS Song Coaches for two song critique sessions (included in registration).
Friday night is filled with music by workshop attendees and Saturday morning the attendees are met with more worship, prayer, clinicians, and a special send off to write at a much higher level than when they arrived.
“We’ve had a 100% satisfaction level so far with most songwriters saying they’ve gotten more out of the first day than from entire conferences,” shares John Chisum, NCS founder and President. “We’re totally humbled by that, for sure, but now we want to offer a Money Back Guarantee on the event,” he continues,”so that anyone unfamiliar with us and what we do can rest assured they’ll be investing wisely to come hang out with us for the workshop and make the kind of connections they need to uplevel their songwriting. People always say they don’t know the right people in Nashville, so we’re working to fix that.”
